What a cool hint of fall we all received from Mother Nature, or was it Tropical Storm Fay? Wherever it was from, it was welcome by many scooter riders in our area. We also got a huge shippment of Buddys in! Hip-hip-Hoorah! Come pick from 125-150's in yummy candy colors. I want to eat the tangerine Buddy up, looks like a Skittle! "Taste the rainbow" of Buddys! Awesome events that are coming up include OKC's Curiosity rally and Tulsa Scooter's Scav Hunt. Curiosity's rally is named Pandora's Carnival. A group of Tulsa scooterists are planning on riding down there. That event is September 26, 27, & 28, 2008. Last year was fun, but I think that the girls and I were the only Tulsans down there for that event. Curiosity puts on a great rally with lots of prizes, a great weekend for all. Come down and show your support. Visit SCOOT@OKC.WORDPRESS.COM for more info on the caravan from Tulsa and visit www.okccuriosity.com for more info. Also coming up is the 2nd Annual Best Scavenger Hunt Ever, August 24, 2008. This year will be harder and more fun than ever! Sign up in the shop or print off your sign up sheet and mail it in. We have seen great group rides lately on Thursday night. Jonathan led a fun ride to Incredible Pizza one week!
So, if the streets are dry come by right before 6:00PM and join us in a ride to
grab a bite to eat and lots of good scooter conversation. If you are running
late call the shop so we can wait for you.
Remember to watch for the extra debris that collects on the
roads at the end of winter. sand and tree sticks and limbs are still on many
streets. Be extra careful if you ride on the expressways. We have seen pot holes
that, if hit at 50mph, could end in disaster.
Remember that the motorcycle safety course can be your best
defense in having fun and remaining safe this year. We can help steer you to the
next available course.
